8:00 AM	Race for Open Space One of the summer's most popular events, the 5K (3.2 miles) starts at the Westmoor Club on Cliff Road. Organized by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation Associates, the race attracts serious runners, casual joggers, walkers and those who are simply avid conservation supporters. Proceeds from the Race will go to the Foundation's Land Fund which helps preserve and protect the Island's invaluable open spaces. Held rain or shine.

	Billfish & Offshore Tournament The Nantucket Anglers' Club 42nd Annual Billfish & Offshore Tournament is a two-day, one-night tournament for multiple species. The Boat/Team with the highest points total will be considered the winner of the tournament. The event opens with a welcoming party and closes with an awards banquet where results are celebrated; calcuttas and prizes given. The Billfish Tournament has always been a gentlemen's tournament open to the public with family and friends welcome.
